Our school day starts at 8:45am when the school bell rings and we finish at 3:15pm. It comprises of 6.5 hours a day and 32.5 hours a week.

ATTENDANCE is KEY TO FUTURE SUCCESS

Please ensure that your child is at school every day and on time. If there are exceptional reasons for absence (sickness) etc. Then please follow the procedures below;

Parents are expected to:

  • Make sure their child attends every day on time
  • Call the school to report their child’s absence before 8:45am on the day of the absence and each subsequent day of absence, and advise when they are expected to return
  • Provide the school with more than 1 emergency contact number for their child

Ensure that, where possible, appointments for their child are made outside of the school day

  • Seek support, where necessary, for maintaining good attendance, by contacting the head teacher, who can be contacted via the school’s contact details on the website.

Pupils are expected to:

 Attend school every day, on time

Parents and students can expect the following from Our Lady of Lourdes Trust; 

  • Regular, efficient and accurate recording of attendance,
  • Early contact with parents when a pupil fails to attend school without providing a reason
  • Immediate and confidential action on any problem notified to us
  • Rewarding good attendance
